My accounts in my container gardening. I know there are various types of container gardening. I did mine in both large scale and small scale container gardening. My containers on the large scale I built for easy maintenance. My smaller containers are a mix of small boxes my son and I built. I grow a variety of vegetables and flowers in my container garden. I have smaller containers around my patio for container gardening.

The smaller container gardens are host to many varieties of plants like tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, many herbs and of course a wide array of flowers. My children love having a container garden on the patio as they like to go out and pick off the ripe tomatoes or strawberries and eat them right off the vine. My wife and I enjoy the smaller container garden for the herbs as we can walk right out the door and pick fresh herbs for dinner. Of course the fresh cut flowers for around the house are great as well. Container garden for the patio is nice and relaxing.

The larger containers in my container garden are host to a variety of vegetables and flowers as well. Larger containers are nice because I am able to grow green beans, zucchini, and other larger plants, these containers are more maintenance as they are host to larger plants, but still easy to maintain compared to a regular garden. The larger container garden has its plus as I am able to grow larger flowers as well.

All are very useful for the hobby gardener and can accommodate a surprisingly large number of plants of all kinds. Different types of plants each require varying degrees of soil acidity or pH. Some plants are very sensitive to soil pH levels. Some garden plants will prefer acid soils while others prefer an alkaline soil. The acidity or alkalinity of soil is measured by pH (potential Hydrogen ions). pH is a measure of the amount of lime (calcium) contained in your soil, and the type of soil that you have. Soils in moist climates tend to be acid and those in dry climates are alkaline. A soil with a pH lower t…
