The designer will determine if it is safe and sound. This means inspecting it to insure that nothing will fall or cause it to be ruined in some other way. They are looking at it to insure that it is safe for someone to use. From here, the architectural aspects are considered. This means that the aspects of the building, such as the materials that are used on the walls, the door structures, the size of the building, and many other pieces and parts that make up the actual building. By studying the features that already exist in the structure, the designer will either decide to change them or will determine how to enhance or fit them into the place for what the remodeling project will be. The next task of the interior designer will be to determine what textiles and other elements will be put into the space to enhance it. This may include a theme for the area, a design element that the entire rest of the project will work around or the desires of the individual that owns the space. They will use textures, colors, geometrical shapes and other elements that will be appealing in the final design. Architecture and interior design can be learned in a school setting.
